Dementia Care Resources
If you or someone you know has dementia, you’re not alone. Nearly half a million Canadians already have it – and by about 2014, that number might rise as high as 1.13 million.
Better care can mitigate some of the effects of dementia, like social isolation and loss of independence, letting those affected enjoy a better quality of life. The first step in getting help is understanding the disease.
What is dementia? Can you prevent some forms of dementia? Where can you meet others just to talk and share your experience? What other resources are available for families coping with dementia?
You’ll find the answers to these and other questions in our resources section. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for here, we’re happy to help you find the answers you need.
